This will vary from person to person. Many people use the “talking test” to gauge the intensity of their workout. Most people are able to talk or hold a conversation during moderately intense activities. Examples of light to moderate activity include walking, water aerobics, bicycling slower than 15 kilometers per hour, yoga, or general gardening.
Being active helps promote the maintenance of lean muscle mass as you lose weight.
Remember everyone is different in terms of their level of fitness and the amount of calories needed to support daily exercise. Be sure to listen to your body; monitor your weight, hunger, and energy level (if you’re feeling hungry and tired all of the time, it may be a sign that you are not getting enough calories); and keep in touch with your OPTAVIA Coach and doctor.
